AMOXYL-C
AMOXYL-C
Amoxicillin & Cloxacillin Water Soluble Powder for Poultry
Amoxyl-C
Amoxyl-C is a Synergistic Combination of Broad-spectrum.
Amoxicillin is a Broad-spectrum, bacteriolytic, ß-lactam antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections caused by susceptible microorganisms. It is usually the drug of choice within the class because it is better absorbed, following oral administration, than other B-lactam antibiotics. Amoxicillin is one of the most common antibiotics prescribed for Poultry.
Amoxicillin is susceptible to degradation by B-lactamase-producing bacteria, which are resistant to a broad spectrum of B-lactam antibiotics, such as penicillin. For this reason, it is often combined with Cloxacillin a B-lactamase inhibitor. This increases effectiveness by reducing its susceptibility to B-lactamase resistance.

About Cloxacillin
- Cloxacillin is a semisynthetic antibiotic in the same class as penicillin.
- Cloxacillin is used against staphylococci that produce beta-lactamase, due to its large R chain, which does not allow the beta-lactamases to bind.
- Cloxacillin belongs to the class of Penicillinase resistant Penicillins with high spectrum of Antibacterial activity
Advantages of Amoxyl-C
- Feed or Water intake does not affect the absorption.
- Readily absorbed from the G.I. Tract.
- Broad spectrum and Bactericidal in action.
- Beta-lactamase resistant synergistic combination.
